Amazon’s New World Adopts a Seasonal Model
Amazon’s New World MMO is introducing a new seasonal model, similar to Destiny 2 and Fortnite, as of February 28th. With each season, new features and experiences will be added to the game, as well as a season pass for players to purchase.
What’s Included in Season 1?
Season 1: Fellowship and Fire brings players on a new journey with challenges, an activity stamp card, and new story missions. The story focuses on the Silver Crows and tasks players with assembling their crews to take on an evil warlock. Players must be 65 or older to take on the expedition, Empyrean Forge.
Seasonal Events
There will be several events available in each season. Season 1 will include three events:
- Rabbit’s Revenge: Players must hunt for haunted rabbits in order to receive rewards.
- Springtime Bloom: Players must buy and harvest flowers.
- Spriggan Fury: Players must combat for time-limited rewards.
Season Pass
The season pass will cost 20,000 Marks of Fortune, which is equivalent to two to five dollars in many other games. The pass includes a free track with lots of items and cosmetics, as well as a premium track with even more rewards.
Map for 2023
The New World team has announced the map for 2023, with four seasons to choose from. This means that players can expect lots of content to come in the upcoming year. A new expansion will be added in the second half of 2023.
