The Open style of kabaddi doesn’t have any specific rules or guidelines to play when it was played in local villages of Punjab. but in today’s time when everything has a specific method, kabaddi also got many new forms. The pro-style kabaddi and Circle kabaddi.

The old-style kabaddi or open ghera kabaddi can be played on a small or large ground. It does not have any rules but a few rules which are applied every time when playing kabaddi. In this form, one raider goes to the other team’s court and he has to touch one of the opponent team players. The one who got touched by the opponent will be the only one who can catch the player in that raid. if the raider got back into his court without touching anyone then it will be dismissed.
